
Rectangular shaped house by Materia Arquitectónica

Private space is determined by the volume of organic or curve while holding the character of public space is more square and transparent. Curved surface to produce texture and shadows using traditional hand made of brick Mexico as a direct weaving. This contrasts with the glass surface and exposed concrete elements. Look for character design made of contrasting constant practice: public vs. private, heavy vs. light, light vs. shadow, thus resulting in the expression of contemporary craft materials. Located on the outskirts of Mexico City, the project is designed for relaxed family life-style. Rectangular-shaped site was constrained in three sides by other houses, leaving only the front face of the short access. Life around the house with a terrace that serves as a continuation of the interior space. Design to create a series of episodes throughout the house are defined by using natural light and materials.
