Dwelling house on a steep slope

Vakarisses mountain town in Catalonia (Spain) increased for another residential building, consonant with the surrounding natural environment. House with a total area of 132 square meters. m, built in the hilly terrain in the mountain town Vakarisses in Catalonia, is on a natural stone platform, some of which also used a garden outside the house. Different levels of the site are reported to the street with a ramp. As a building material architects studio H Arquitectes, developed and implemented the project, used laminated wood panels. This panel is a monolithic slab, manufactured by layering adhesive arranged crosswise planks of wood slats, the fourth-fifth grade. In each panel in order to minimize the construction site provides the necessary technological openings, including windows and doors. Spanish architects have used one of the main advantages of this lightweight and durable material – the possibility of using it as a load-bearing parts of the building, floors and roof structures. According to the decision of the customer, more decorative his home was not required. Such exposure of the natural texture of construction produces a kind of decorative effect and organic wholeness of the entire structure. The house seems a monolith formed from a single piece of material, rather than assembled from separate parts and small items. Ventilated facades provided with the necessary hydraulic and vetroizolyatsiey and finished with pine. Windows and doors are protected by sliding shutters. It remains unclear how managed to solve the problems of utilities (including water and sanitation).
